E-SHIFT Skills & Market Insights Report
What does digital transformation really look like for manufacturing workers on the ground?
This report answers that question with real evidence drawing on surveys with 125 workers, 50 interviews with employers, trainers, and policymakers, and an analysis of 10 real-world businesses across five European countries. It reveals that automation isn't eliminating manufacturing jobs so much as reshaping them, and pinpoints exactly which skills workers need to make that shift with confidence: from digital know-how to entrepreneurial thinking.
The findings shape everything that comes next in the project, ensuring the training and tools we build actually respond to what workers and employers told us they need.
